Prospector Residential
Park City, Utah- Structure Size:

The architectural design of this LEED-certified building takes advantage of attributes of a mountain town; air, light, and connectivity to the outdoors. The exterior rises three stories above the ground with a gently sloping parapet that follows the slope of the land. The interior courtyard houses a walkway for unit access and lightly colored walls to direct sunlight down to the lowest level, where planters add green to the man-made environment. A fire pit and community space assist in bringing residents together.
The residential design includes robust continuous insulation, CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) floor plate construction, and heat pump heating/cooling units as a few of the strategies used to attain a LEED status. Low U-value windows to keep the heat (or cool) in, sound mats to dampen the noise from your neighbors and continuous fresh air are other strategies to both gain LEED points but also to create a more healthy environment to exist within.
